I bought these in the blue as well as the mahogany. They are very pretty, wash well, and I haven't noticed any dullness or scratches after using them for 1 year. On the downside, they are very big (and heavy) and take up a lot of cabinet space. I usually use the smaller plates for meals as the dinner plates are just too big for a normal plate of food. The bowls are big enough to use as serving bowls. If I could do it over I would buy a smaller size.
